SONGS AND STORIES FROM KEV CARMODY
In January 2008 Brendan co-wrote "Cannot Buy My Soul" with Kev Carmody - a live music show for Sydney Festival that blended stories of Kev's extraordinary life with his music.
The show featured the cream of Australian music talent: Paul Kelly, Missy Higgins, Tex Perkins, The Pigram Brothers, Steve Kilbey, Sara Storer, Clare Bowditch, Last Kinnection and The Herd.
Paul Kelly is often associated with Kev Carmody through the song they wrote together "From Little Things Big Things Grow" and Paul refers to Kev's music as "one of our greatest national treasures". Paul was closely involved in the performance and after the shows were done said it "one of the highlights of my musical career".
A documentary about the show was made by acclaimed Australian Film Director Paul Goldman, produced by Toby Creswell and Mushroom music, broadcasting on SBS late 2008.
