Produced, directed and shot by Brendan Fletcher.
Sarah Blasko is a pioneer of the Australian indie music scene. She has been nominated for countless awards, including winning Best Female Artist at the 2009 ARIA awards. Sarah successfully walks the difficult line between commercial success and artistic integrity with dignity. After over a decade of crafting lustrous chamber pop Sarah is writing her sixth studio album. Not content to rest on her laurels, Sarah has decided to write the entire album on stage complete with lights, mirror balls, film projections and a band. In 10 days.
Through this intense process, Brendan’s camera follows Sarah through the high and lows of the creative process. We’ve seen many films about recording an album, but very few solely about the writing of songs.
A candid and honest documenting of a process we rarely see, this is an intimate insight into the one of Australia’s most intriguing songwriters.
